Todd Cantwell is an English footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for the Norwich City club in the Championship League. Born in East Dereham, Todd Cantwell took his first steps in soccer at Dereham Town Youth Academy. He became something of a prodigy, winning all the trophies offered to players under nine years of age. Young Todd then went on to the Norwich Academy, where he would continue his development. He was called up to the English Under-17 team in 2014 when he was 16 years old. Todd Cantwell received the opportunity to play his first game in the English football top-flight when close to his twentieth birthday. This occurred in an FA Cup match against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in January 2018. Then, he was loaned to Dutch second division club Fortuna Sittard for the remainder of the season.

Despite only playing in 10 games for the Dutch team, his experience was beneficial for him. There he grew up as a footballer on the field, and he had the autonomy to show his talent. Todd Cantwell helped this team rise to the Eredivisie in the 2017/18 season. He scored two goals and gave three assists in the ten games mentioned. In his first three 2018/19 season games, he would score two goals and two assists.
